Job Title: Sentencer, LiftSystem MR&O
Working Pattern: Full-time
Working location: Indianapolis, IN (9/80 work schedule)
As a Manufacturing Engineer-Sentencer for Rolls-Royce, you’ll play a key role acting as the Technical Authority for sentencing MRO units returned from the field with an emphasis on the visual evaluation of flight hardware against approved technical data or documents. What you will be doing
With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:
- Review the induction inspection to document damage and missing items. Once the teardown is complete, perform visual evaluation of flight components and modules to determine serviceability or if further disassembly is required.
- Operate precision tools and equipment to obtain accurate dimensional checks to determine serviceability of components.
- Responsible for submitting condition reports [Technical Variance Request (TVR)] in a manner that clearly and accurately states the condition of the hardware.
- Interact among supporting areas to clarify and troubleshoot workscope instructions, such as the aiding in process control and facilitation of repair on hardware.
- Perform ERP(SAP) transactions including but not limited to creation of equipment, sentencing notification and service bulletin compliance.
- Ensuring MRO processes comply with all legal requirements and customer requirements including an understanding and adheres to proper parts cannibalization procedures.

Basic Requirements:
- Associate’s degree with 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing or Assembly Engineering OR,
- Bachelor’s degree with 1+ years of experience in Manufacturing or Assembly Engineering OR,
- Masters degree with experience in Manufacturing or Assembly Engineering OR,
- JD/PhD OR,
- In lieu of a degree, 5+ years of experience in Assembly Engineering or A&P work
- Must be a U.S Citizen
Preferred Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in an assembly/maintenance repair & overhaul (MRO) environment with an understanding of aerospace engines.
- Demonstrated experience in reading and interpreting technical documents.
- Formal problem-solving accreditation (e.g. Lean, 6 Sigma, 8D)
- Previous experience with SAP
- Knowledge and understanding of precision measurement equipment.
